Hetalia: Historical Uniforms by seemo Hetalia: Historical Uniforms by seemo
Once a upon a time, Hetalia used to be historically relevant. (But now it's just fanservicing, I feel)

I gave myself 30min to do each. Flat colors, whooo!
And i wanted to see the countries in things other than in their ordinary getup
The order:

France (grenadier mounted guards, 1800-1815)
Sweden (hussar of the Yellow Regiment, 1762)
Germany (Wurttenberg foot grenadier, 1750)
Russia (infantry officer, 1762)
Austria (grenadier of Saxe-Gotha infantry regiment, 1762)
America (Confederate infantry general and Union artillery officer, 1860-1864)
Prussia (Quirassier of the 3rd Leibregiment, 1762)
England (infantryman of the 9th regiment of foot, 1775-1783)

the book i referenced these uniforms from is said to be pretty accurate in terms of the time period and general look. But since the images are mostly watercolor, some have said that the shades are a bit off and the little details are missing. So yeah, not too bad I guess.

sorry for big image.

[[You really shouldn't criticize someone if your spelling isn't correct. I know my English isn't perfect, but I try to spell correctly at least.

 It's isn't. ]]
I spelled it that way on purpose. :iconrussiaderpplz:

[[Okay. ^^]]

I just love Historical Hetalia and you've done a great job here, really^^ !

I'm definetely not a pro, when it comes to differ between uniforms, so I really admire your work, expecially the details.

Great uniforms! Some of my favorites are there too. Really nice work!

Some little corrections:
-The Württembergian is actually a Horse Grenadier (like the French one);
-The Austrian Grenadier seems to have no "bag" on the back of his bearskin; it looks more like an early 1800s Saxon one here (actually a small detail)'
-The Confederate Officer is a cavalryman, not of the Infantry;
-The Prussian is not of the 3rd Leibregiment, but of the 3rd Cuirassier regiment, also called the 'Leibregiment'. Not sure if the white plume is correct btw.

I suppose you used the book of Liliane & Fred Funcken? It is accurate indeed. But the devil is in the details :trollface:

where did you get those references? I´ve tried to do something similar( traditionally for a friend) but even though I got an idea of what they were wearing, there wasn´t a clear uniform for most of the ones I searched for. Is there a website were you can find these?

But the uniforms are really detailed and the characters have nice proportions. Well done!
